IT Project Management
Compact teams of powerful experts
Large IT projects are complex. IT is now woven into everything we do. Not always organizations themselves have the skills and/or capacity to execute these projects (without frustration in operations). We provide seasoned IT consultants and project managers who steer teams, engage stakeholders and get the job done so that you achieve your goals faster, more enjoyable and easier.
IT project management with musQueteer
MusQueteers work together autonomously in small teams. No unwieldy, nameless armies of newfangled part-solvers, but well-organized, personal units of decisive truthers who oversee the process from high above, without losing sight of the details and the interests of those involved. We are not there to simply pump a system in, but to truly integrate IT with business processes, following our Quattro methodology. As a result, technology will really work for you. And only then can you use the full potential of your solution. Only then will you achieve sustainable and stable growth in a way that suits the organization and your vision of the future.
Project managers who understand your business in addition to IT
You can hire us for virtually any IT project. We have a broad experience in consulting, project management and also a highly qualified team of developers who can provide a piece of customization if needed. Additional experience we have with the types of projects listed below.
Move data to a new location smoothly and without downtime.
Data migration is the process of moving data from one location to another. Sounds simple enough, yet every year we read horror stories where things went massively wrong. Especially now that much data is being moved to the Cloud, professional data migration is more important than ever. Data migration typically follows the ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) process. We provide a thorough Data Migration Strategy, which includes a variety of factors; such as a data audit, data cleansing, data maintenance, data security and governance. In doing so, we ensure that all stakeholders are included in the communication. We take full responsibility for a smooth Data Migration and ensure that you experience as little disruption or delay as possible.
Working quickly and silently with the latest hardware and software.
Wherever new hardware, software, updates or upgrades are implemented, Release Management is used. In doing so, we ensure that it is clear to everyone in an organization what is going to happen and what the impact will be for them. Our Release Managers are therefore able to understand everyone’s interests and know the organization’s priorities (and the circumstances that may shift those priorities). Therefore, in addition to comprehensive IT knowledge, our experts have a good knowledge of business processes. We ensure that new releases are rolled out whisper quietly, with no (or minimal) downtime to the operational process. In doing so, we take into account the primary value streams in the organization, as well as the stability of the software. Your users will benefit quickly and without headaches from the features the new software has to offer.
Making improvements in a live environment without hindrance.
Whereas our Release Managers take care of capturing several changes in one Release, as Change Managers we make sure that improvements can be made to a live system without disrupting IT services. We review, authorize and plan the changes and ensure that the Release team can build, test and deploy the new services. Change Management and Release Management may seem similar, and you could argue that 1 person can perform both roles, but we recommend using two separate experts for this. This keeps the demarcation sharp and this benefits the quality of IT Services.
(Agile) Implementation Management
Conveniently working toward optimal results based on data.
When you have a good business idea that you want to move forward with, you could traditionally create a plan from a to z. From vision to analysis and design, to production, testing, making and selling. But often there are circumstances that call for a change or change in direction during the process. With Agile Implementation Management, it is often not necessary for one phase of a development to be completed before starting the next phase. For example, with Agile methodology, you can start testing with an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) and use the results from that to improve the product in the interim, before you start major production. Thus, you learn from experience and allow improvements as you work toward your vision. Interim results may remain operational until a subsequent Release comes out. For Agile IT implementations, we provide the developers, product manager and scrum master. We communicate efficiently with all stakeholders and stand for an optimal functioning outcome that fits the vision.
Custom software development
Where needed, our team of developers can provide just that bit of customization to optimize your user experience and results. The tools we use for this allow us to develop solid apps super fast.
Ruby on Rails development
Ruby on Rails (Rails) is an open-source Web application framework written in the Ruby programming language. It is used by big names such as GitHub, Airbnb, Shopify, Zendesk and more. Rails-based web apps are robust, dynamic and more importantly – faster to build. This is also why Ruby on Rails is often the first choice for start-ups. Development time is often reduced by as much as 25-40%. Thanks to built-in modules (gems), rapidly realized development and simple syntax, we develop apps with Ruby on Rails lightning fast.
If an organization is looking for a digital solution or software application, but has no idea what technology to use, we recommend Ruby on Rails as the first choice. If the requirements are simple, scalable and fast, Ruby on Rails is a perfect fit.
In addition, Ruby on Rails is very secure. Our world is becoming increasingly digital and almost all data is accessible via the Internet. Therefore, Ruby aims to make web apps secure and avoid cyber attacks. Both server side and client side.
Heroku Cloud integration
Heroku is a Cloud platform, on which apps can be built (for example, with the Ruby programming language). Development on Heroku is made easy and deployment is super fast. The simplicity and ready-to-go setup makes Heroku very suitable for Start-ups/Scale-ups. But large organizations such as Toyota and Citrix also use Heroku. Heroku requires comparatively little computing power.
It is also possible to build on the AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform, but this requires some of the skills of the team that will work with it. For example, using AWS requires a dedicated DevOps engineer, but not at all with Heroku. AWS is therefore often too complex or labor-intensive for smaller companies. AWS is used by medium and large organizations, such as BMW Group and Airbnb.
Both Heroku and AWS are great platforms to develop on, but you need to have a good understanding of what functionality your organization needs and how much money you have to spend on it. You also need to know well what skills (especially DevOps) are available within the team when you start on AWS. The right platform for you is the one that helps you achieve your business goals and keep your developers productive. We are happy to advise on this. Please feel free to contact us.
